Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my Ontario Autism Program funding (OAP) for services?
Yes – all of our services are covered under the OAP.
Do you have OAP-approved providers on staff?
Yes – we have many different OAP-approved providers on staff including Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA’s) and Speech Language Pathologist(s).
I have extended health benefits through my work. Can I use these?
Yes - Please check with your provider on what is covered under your plan. Speech-Language Pathology is typically a covered service. However, ABA is dependent on the provider and not as common.
Do I need to have a formal ASD diagnosis to access your services?
No – anyone is welcome to access our services regardless of a formal diagnosis. In addition, anyone with any diagnosis (ASD or not) is welcome to access our services.
How much will these services cost?
For a breakdown of the fee structure, please send us an e-mail or book a call with us.
I suspect my child may have ASD. What do I do now?
We always suggest seeing your family doctor. Your doctor can then make a referral to have an Autism Assessment completed. These referrals will be covered under the provincial health plan. Please note this usually comes with a lengthy wait time.
Another option is to pay privately for an Autism Assessment. It is often a short wait time, but the fee(s) typically range from $2000 to $5000.
If you would like to go privately we can make recommendations of providers.
My questions is not listed – can you answer different questions?
Of course, please email us Contact Us to ask.
Are you currently accepting new clients?
Yes. All programs are open for new registrations.
Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
For eligible children, we can offer direct one-to-one therapy through our telehealth platform.
Access to the internet and a computer are required.
Parents must also be accessible and available throughout the session if needed.
Do you offer in-clinic or in-home services?
We currently are offering all of our services in the clinic.
We are located at 34 Commerce Park Drive, Barrie ON.
Are Speech Pathologists involved in ABA therapy programming?
As an interdisciplinary team of professionals, we pride ourselves on collaborating to meet the specific needs of each child. This often means different professionals consulting to assist in goal setting or providing extra support in different areas to maximize development.
How many hours a week will my child need?
This greatly depends on your child’s needs and your goals as a family. Once the initial assessment is done (Speech and/or ABA) we will be able to make accurate recommendations based on our clinical findings.
