Hello, my name is Alessia. I am a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic educator with a strong passion for fostering an equitable and nurturing environment where every child can grow and thrive. Over the past three years, I have gained extensive experience in the Child and Youth Care field, working with children in a variety of settings and roles.

My professional journey began as a teaching assistant, where I worked directly under the College of Early Childhood Educators in classrooms, camps, and before/aftercare programs. This hands-on experience allowed me to develop a deep understanding of child development and educational practices. Building on this foundation, I have spent nearly two years as an Educational Assistant. In this role, I have refined my expertise in providing individualised support and intervention, tailoring my approach to meet each child’s unique needs and personalities.

As an educator, my commitment is to employ strategies that address the needs of every child, ensuring they always feel safe, included, and valued. I firmly believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, respected, and understood. I work persistently to create a supportive environment where all students can succeed, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy listening to music, reading, crocheting, and travelling. I am also a devoted animal lover. I am thrilled to be joining this team and am looking forward to an amazing school year. I am eager to contribute to a collaborative and supportive community, working together to make this year truly memorable for all.

Fun Fact: Alessia loves animals!, Alessia’s favourite place to visit is the Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls! Her favourite hobby is crocheting.
