Hello, I’m Abby!
I am excited to be part of the team at Inclusive Milestones, where I can continue to grow my passion for working with children and supporting their unique needs. My journey began as a mentor with Family and Child Services in Guelph, where I worked closely with children and their families, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate successes. This early experience reinforced my commitment to ensuring children have the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.
I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Family and Child Studies from the University of Guelph, where I developed a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and effective strategies for supporting children with diverse needs and abilities.
As a supply Educational Assistant, I had the opportunity to support children with learning needs in the classroom, fostering an environment where each child felt safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. In the summer of 2024, I worked as an Inclusion Support Facilitator with the Town of Bradford, providing one-on-one support for children at camp by adapting activities and ensuring all participants had a fun, fulfilling experience. Additionally, I gained experience as an Inclusion Support Assistant with the City of Barrie, supporting children in recreational programs.
Currently, I am pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Couple and Family Therapy through the University of Guelph’s OpenEd program, further deepening my knowledge and skills in supporting children and their development.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy being outdoors, playing with my dog, and watching movies!
